Statement of faith

HOLY BIBLE:
We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God (2 Peter 1:20-21), and is the only basis for our beliefs (2 Timothy 3:16). We believe that the 66 books of the Bible are inspired by God, and therefore His inerrant Word. It is the final authority for all we believe and how we are to live (John 17:17, Matthew 5:18).

TRINITY:
We believe that the One True God (Deuteronomy 6:4-5) exists eternally in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that these, being One God, are equal in deity, power and glory (John 14:11, 26).

JESUS CHRIST:
We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, that He was conceived and born of a virgin (Matthew 1:18-25). He lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as a substitutionary sacrifice for sinners. By the blood He shed on the cross, He bought us eternal redemption and eternal life (Colossians 1:15-20). He died, was physically raised back to life on the third day and ascended to the right hand of the Father, there to intercede for the saints (Romans 8:34).

SALVATION:
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith in Christ alone. No ordinance, ritual, work or any other activity on the part of man is required in order to be saved (Ephesians 2:8-10). Any person can enter into a saving relationship with God by confessing the Lordship of Jesus Christ and believing in His complete victory over death (Romans 10:9). This same grace from God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, empowers us to repent from our sins and be forgiven and cleansed (Acts 3:19). The Holy Spirit sanctifies us by enabling us to do what is pleasing in God’s sight in order that we might be progressively conformed to the image of Christ (Romans 8:29).
